Mi-Soul Radio Fans Say “I Do!” at This Years Margate Soul Festival

Mi-Soul Radio Fans Say “I Do!” at This Years Margate Soul Festival

Hannah-Jane Denham and Darcy Harrison met across a crowded dance floor just two years ago at Margate Soul Festival. They had both been searching for a more uplifting social life that encompassed their love for soulful music and stumbled across the event online. It was love at first sight and Darcy proposed just nine months later and they celebrated their engagement at MSFest2017. To wed at MSFest2018 was an obvious choice for them both, although has taken some finite planning.

“We didn’t want a traditional, stressful, formal wedding.  We both wanted it to be a relaxing celebration we could share with people we care about, and we wanted our love of the music that brought us together to be central to this. It’s not been easy but Mi-Soul and the festival have waved their magic wand!”

Hannah-Jane Denham

The Sands Hotel, central to the festival will host these unique nuptials and wedding reception with Mi-Soul Radio’s owner, the legendary Gordon Mac playing their first dance.  The wedding party plan to join the main festival later on, to dance the night away.

They also plan to pick up the first Guinness World Record for the largest wedding photo ever taken, by asking festival-goers to meet on the infamous steps of Margate’s seafront at 4pm for that all-important wedding shot.

We think this will be a love match made in soulful seaside heaven!

This year the likes of Atlantic Starr, Deniece Williams, Fatback Band, The Brit Funk Association and Eddie Piller’s 30 Years Of Acid Jazz and more will all perform alongside over 50+ DJs.
